It can get infected regardless of how long you keep it in. If you don't want it to close up on you, leave the piercing in for a minimum of 6 weeks!

anywhere from 6-8 weeks if you want to make good and sure your skin has fully reacted and gotten use to the new object in your ear. ive had a few peircings and ALWAYS let them stay in as long as possible before i mess with them. because u wait only 6-8weeks then you have the rest of your life to switch it out and play with it etc.... Have fun!

Can't remember but enjoy picking the skin from your stud when you do decide to take it out. If i remember correctly when i did have one it was a relief to take it out and the feeling was one of picking that bogey out your nose that was there for ages while you where with people.
