I'm just curious, I'm 36 weeks right now and have gained almost 30 pounds. Trying to get an idea of how much I'll be left with after delivery.

Dont' worry one bit. I lost all my weight and an additional 8 lbs. after my first one. Now I have a 3-month-old and I am only 8 lbs. away from being back to normal. I gained 40 to 45 lbs. (114lbs - 160lbs.) with both my children and I don't exercise much at all. I eat a small breakfast of cereal (whole grain, no sugar, low fat milk). Then I eat a piece of fruit for lunch (bananas are great!) and I have a small dinner of meat and vegetables.... lots of veggies, not much meat. Once a week, I go out to eat and then I eat half my plate and half my desert. The rest I leave for my daughter for the next day. As for exercise, I walk around the block (30 minutes) most days of the week, but not all. The first 10-20 lbs. will pretty much "fall off". I was 10 lbs. lighter 2 days after delivery. The others, you'll have to work at a bit, but it isn't too bad. However, there will be times when you're hungry. Don't give in! Eat a carrot instead of a candy bar. :) Congratulations!

I gained twenty with my son and by the time he was two weeks old I had lost 22. Now he is 7 wks and I am 30 (exactly) pounds lighter than the day I delivered. From 183 at delivery to 153. With my daughter I didn't lose all 46 until right before I got pregnant with my son. She just turned four in July. Suggestion: EXCLUSIVELY BREASTFEED, IT WILL HELP TREMENDOUSLY. that is how I lost it with my son.

I gained about 30 pounds when I was pregnant. After giving birth, I lost about 15 pounds. In the next month, I lost about 7 pounds.

.........8 months later and I am still stuck with 7 extra pounds:)

I lost nearly 20 within a week because so much of it was water retention in my hands & feet.

I don't know how tall you are, but 30 pounds is not a lot for 36 weeks! You may only lose 10.

I gained 28 lbs. Breast fed and lost 28 lbs by one week and a half after having my baby. Since then I have lost an additional eight lbs and my baby is 3 months old.

All of the 65 lbs that I gained. I had twins, the second time, the first time was 65lbs also but that was with a singleton. It took me about 6 mths the first time and a year the second.

Within a week (it takes awhile to loose all the extra fluid and blood) you should loose between 15-25lbs depending on the size of the baby/placenta etc
