I personally think ALL universities should have them not just onine univ. My major is social work..In my state, we are required to take classes on child abuse and substance abuse, etc. I am a recovering addict and abuse survivor and rape victim, etc. I think we should either be allowed life experience or be allowed to test out...you can't test out of anything but gen ed. Same thing for ed. majors who have worked in child care for years or other majors.

I support life experience degrees up through the Masters level. I'd stop at offering doctoral degree based purely on life experience because those are supposed to represent research-based curricula.

I think they are a terrific money maker for the people running the scam and nothing more. Show up with that at a job interview and you'll be laughed out of the room.
