I think that same sex marriages are none of my business. When I married my wife no one was concerned about the effects it would have on society. Matter of fact no one outside of my family and friends even cared. I think that if two adults are in love with each other and want to together for ever, they should do what is right for them. Why shouldn't;t a gay couple have the same benefits (and penalties) that I have with being married to my wife?

Everyone always says, "This country was based on Christianity and we should uphold that by restricting marriage to a man and a woman, as it is in the Bible." Not everyone here is a Christian, so that argument doesn't stand. This country was based on freedom of religion, which includes choosing to not have a religion, hence the separation of church and state. So gay people should have the same rights as everyone else. Civil unions don't cut it. And who really cares what gay people are doing in their own homes anyways? It isn't my business.

I don't think it's right. But, it's none of my business if two people want to get married to the same sex. Thats what they wanna do. As long as they are happy and not out killing people then why should people have a problem with it

It's not wrong marriage isn't for everyone but if someone wants to do that, I believe that they should have that right. Gay marriage is legal in some other countries.

It's right, and why, when some asks about gay marriage and being gay, does someone always throw bible verses out? Its getting really old.

I'm yet to hear a good reason why it is wrong. People need to mind their own business. If 2 people want to get married why put lables on it? Sometimes I think the world is completly mad.
