If it is authentic as you say? Do not go to ebay. You can go into the phone book for a lawyer and a broker for representation with a fair market. It may have significant antiquity value, if it has the markings of the eagle and a number it might be part of the gold shipment stolen from a train when Patton was murdered. So I would be careful. Most of that gold was from the necks and fingers and teeth of innocent people that were burned or gased in the concentration camps. Get a lawyer, possession is nine-tenths of the law.

Be careful on ebay because they do have internal policies and you might want to avoid too much drama if you want to sell.

If it is a high quality Gold you might want to contact a militaria dealer and get an estimate as to its significance amongst collects. He could also verify possibly if it is a real Nazi ingot or a fake. I dont agree with it, but many people seem to like Nazi artifacts.

If I ask him nicely will he give me a gold ingot too?
Failing that your ingot is almost certainly worthless, so feel free to give it to me. You don't want to sell it on ebay - think of the postage you'd have to pay on a gold ingot the size of a building brick!

Good Lord, aren't Americans gullible.

Spot gold closed today at $633.60 per oz.

Have the bar weighed. Then, have it assayed to determine the purity of the gold.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO SELL THIS ON EBAY!

If what you are saying is true, this could be extremely valuable, however, it could also be stolen property. Tread carefully.

Get it appraised. Get 2 opinions, just to be sure.

Then, you can decide what you want to do with it. You can sell it, or you can keep it. I think it's important to know how much it's worth before you can sell it.
