I got hit by a car today. Not hard; as I was crossing the crosswalk, the car turned the corner and hit me in the back of my right thigh. I fell down but I got up and felt okay, no injuries or anything. I walked the rest of the way home, but now my LEFT leg is going wonky. It doesn't really hurt but I must have twisted my leg when I fell because I can't stand up on that leg anymore, my knee seems to like collapse. My right leg is fine and I can hobble around but I can't really walk very well. I can't imagine anything is broken as there is no reason pain, just a twitch and a sharp feeling and I have to fold my knee. I can hold my leg straight, just can't put any weight on it.
I haven't got a car and anyway it's late here so I won't be going to the doc's or anything, just wondering if anyone knows whether it'll get any better soon?

It sounds like to me you might have either pinched your sciatic nerve and/or ruptured a disk in your lower back. Either way, you will need x-rays and/or an MRI depending upon your doctors evaluation. Go to the emergency room if you have any bowel movement issue's because that is a sure sign of a major nerve pinch and can be life threatening.

You might have to go to the ER for X-rays to see if there is any damage done. We can see what is wrong with your knee through a basic X-ray of the area.
