I have seen this term alot lately and wonder what it is?

to me emo means that you cut yourself and/or are depressed. but, to other people it's a sense of style. wearing thick rimmed glasses, guys who wear girl pants, etc. also it can be what music you listen to. like my chemical romance or hawthorne heights. it's funny to say but if you type this question into google, you'll get some pretty good answers

I AM SO COOL I HATE EMO KIDZ AND EMO. No, however rather, emo is a sub style of punk/hardcore track that has an emphasis at the emotionally pleasant of the lyrics and track. The youngsters you're speakme approximately are very just like Kenny A. whilst he thinks he's the shitandahalf for having an excessively robust hate for it, little mizz ANTI-sunshine (you're soooo ingenious) says matters which can be viewed emo to check out to look cool and depressed. If you do not don't forget your self an emo, than you don't seem to be one. **** labels, and **** being some thing you don't seem to be.

Generally, someone who listens to Emo music and tends to be (or at least appear) to be very deep. "Emo" is short for emotional, and the music was once called Emocore.

I don't know...but I sure hope they don't cut themselves! Oh my! Crazy ****. I thought that I was going to find out something but none of these answers seem right...I don't think goth and emo are the same...

Emo=Emotional. Usually OVER emotional. Typically seen in black clothing, thick black glasses, and band shirts. Converse are not uncommon.

emo is short for "emotional" and is stereotypically a kid who wears brown, orange, olive green, plaid and listens to "emo music" which is a genre of whiny vocals and sad lyrics. they also (stereotypically, again) have hair that covers half of their face over their eye. it's just kind of a trend/movement right now.
