Sarah C, you are very confused. First, you see no difference in throwing around "hitler, nazi" which are highly inflammatory words with the correct label for what you obviously practice "political correctness".
You see no difference? You don't think throwing around those words undermines what happen to the Jews, oh, just a tad? hmm?
I don't know what your little check list is going on about...who exactly are you accusing of these things? Do you think Politically Correct people are next to be lined up and thrown in gas chambers? Is Bush and Cheney lining up Iraqi children and throwing them in fire pits?
I think you people need to get your liberal heads from out your as*es.

Because they are very emotional words, tied to unimaginable events that took place in history....Today the same things are happening around the world, like what happened in Rwanda several years ago, what is happening in the Sudan today.....We as a country ignored what Hitler was doing for years.....we only became involved when affected us.....same thing with Rwanda, but we never did get involved, and thankfully someone up top is paying attention to the Sudan and hopefully we can help these people soon, really soon......

61 years after its destruction the demonisation of the Third Reich continues, despite the fact that the atrocities committed in its name pale into insignificance compared with those of Stalin's Soviet Union, the Khmer Rouge and the Chinese Communist Party.
The sort of people who cite nazism as the worst creed are parodoxically nazis themselves. They have succesfully campaigned for the removal of certain books from schools and libraries as they are ideoligically unsound, and whilst they haven't yet got round to burning them in the street I wonder how long it can be before they do. The PC Brigade have made it illegal to express a racist opinion. Hitherto it was illegal only to act on racist principles; for instance you could not deny a man a job because he was black. Denying the right to express your opinion in public is of course curtailing free speech, and once you have made it illegal to express a racist opinion, there's a precedent for making illegal an opinion about anything, including the government.
The PC Brigade have a vested interest in using Nazis as a propaganda weapon, but they often fail to understand that nazism was a genuine political movement with economic manifestos and a political infrastructure rather than an opinion that was distasteful to them. To call a man who expresses a concern over the scale of immigration into this country a nazi is to show gross ignorance of humanity and history.
The PC brigade you must understand are in general humourless blobs employed by weak and ineffective government to do jobs that in any truly civilised country should not exist. Most of them have very little real education and probably possess a degree in Sociology from the University of Spunkbridge, and as they neither have the talent nor the imagination to do practical or useful jobs they have to justify their paypackets somehow and so the only recourse they have in informed debate when a point comes up that does not fit their narrow, closed-mind Weltanschauung is to smear the person or institution putting the point with the word "nazi".
This is of course causing a deep resentment in the indigenous White population, and driving people into the arms of the BNP.
Paradoxically, the PC Brigade are creating a right-wing backlash growing more and more evident. Oh, good job you've done there, Roz and Julian!

the p.c lot have actually made racism worse, only they are to blind not to see it
some of the crap that they actually come out with would be laughable if they did not have such serious consequences?
think re: christmas, i have never heard of an asian been offended by christmas, do they not usually take part unless they are made to feel unwelcome and outcast
the black community has more important things to deal with, and not be offended by blackboard, baa baa black sheep
i have never been asked my opinion on what i feel is offensive, these decisions are made by white people - as blacks and asians do not hold the positions
the aim is to underhandly keep the divisions open and it seems to be working, i would not be shocked to see the bnp win the next election!

simple, its because the words hitler and nazi are words we dont wanna hear ourselfs being described as, the pc brigade throw the words around to get what they want through manipulation. politically correct people cause more problems than they solve. for instance, the current ban any thing xmas, in case other faiths are offended?? polictical correctness.

I have heard more liberals use it to refer to our military and law enforcement. From my years in law enforcement it goes like this the liberals and democrats call you a nazi for doing your job because they think we can all get along and every criminal has a valid excuse and therefore not responsible for their crime. Then conservative zealots just tell you that you are going to hell because you didn't arrest someone fast enough.

I use the word "Nazi" when speaking of the evil leaders of Germany up to & during WW2. I certainly do not hold the German ppl responsible. Like wise I do not hold the American ppl responsible for the facist neo-cons that are destroying their country at present.

Actually, what you meant to say was stupid/ignorant people. Those that lack the intelligence/knowledge and the ability to base an argument on logic/fact frequently use absurd and inappropriate references that provoke strong emotional response in an attempt to eliminate reason from the debate and enhance their relatively weak position.

I only use it to describe Bush and Cheney because they want America to be a facist state. They keep taking away personal freedom which is what the Nazi's did.
Did you know that burning the Nazi Flag was a crime. Guess what Bush wants? Sounds similar to me
