Either - in the iTunes Music Store you can search for music and download it for a price (usually 79p for a song, and you will need to enter credit/debit card details to your account).

If you've downloaded music for free from P2P sharing sites, then you can put it on as well - go to the File Menu, then Add File to Library, and find it from your documents (it will usually be under something like a file called Shared under your username in Local Disc (C Drive) > Documents and Settings)

Then just plug your iPod in and it should automatically copy the music onto it

Most of the free sites are illegal. And the downloading speed is very slow. You can get an UNLIMITED access at

http://xrl.us/music

Here you can use this service for both ipod & your computer. Also you can copy the stuff on DVDs & VCDs.

you should make confident that one and each and each and every of the files are formatted in mp3 or m3u formatting. you should attempt this interior the settings probably. Or accurate-click and there must be some thing to the end results of "convert record to mp3". Then only click and drag into itunes.
