I am currently a Pyschyology undergrad student. I hope to either
A- go to graduate school, eventually getting my PhD in psychology. or
B- go to medical school, to become a psychiatrist.
however, i have a few questions. If I chose B, and go to medical school, do I still need to complete a PhD in order to become a psychiatrist. So, am I working towards a Phd/md program, or just the md? ALso, if I become a psychiatrist, can I still do clinical work? I hope to one day work with genetic disorders.

Thanks!

That's one to ask your advisors, not us morons!

I think shrinks get their MD then do a residency in psychiatry, equivalent to a PhD but not usually the degree itself. But I suspect it varies from med school to med school.

Lord knows we need more psychiatrists! At least, we need 'em more than lawyers. Good luck!

Most likely you would be in an MD/PhD program, and of course yes you could still do clinical work.
