Jeez, look at the 2007 rotation (Idk how they'll set it up):
1. Mike Mussina
2. Chien-Mien Wang
3. The Unit
4. Pettite
5. Kei Iguwa (or whatever it is)
Jeez, that looks good and you know the hitting will be there. This could be good news though for other teams like THE 2005 WORLD SERIES CHAMP CHICAGO WHITE SOX because whenever the Bronx Bombers have high hopes, they get shut down. American League team to beat???

hahhaha I love Yankee fans. I think at least 2 of those guys go down with nagging injuries for the season. Pavano? Yea, he could be good, but when was the last time he pitched?? He's your version of Kerry Wood, but Pavano doesn't care. He's just pimping you for all the money he knows he's not worth as a Yankee

Mussina wore down towards end of year. Johnson is coming back from back surgery, Andy has had elbow problems in the recent past... the yankees rotation is hardly rock solid guy. I mean, theyre going to be very good, but dont go overboard with it. I think The Tigers have better pitching than us, and i think Boston is DAMN close if not better if they sign the Japanese guy... Then The Whitesox are very good in their Starting as id Oakland... The Yankees will be there... but CALM DOWN! It is very nice to have a guy back that we know when we give him the ball in a big spot, and he's healthy.... the other team doesnt have much of a shot.

And Goose above.. are you a moron? Pettite is 34 years oldm he is in the preverbial prime of his career, he will be one of their younger arms LMAO! he threw i believe 200 innings last year and was the best pitcher in the NL the second half of season. He and Johan Santana have been the 2 best second half pitchers in baseball the last 3 years they pitched LOL. the yankees will be better this year pitching because they have so many quality arms...but team to beat? we haveta wait and see.

And Goose again, dont email me again. Like i said, Petite has a balky elbow but how does that make him "old", or since when is 34 "old" as you put it? 34 usually means yer in yer prime as a starter genius, He didnt want to pitch because he didnt want to put his arm threw all of that again. He threw 200 innings last year and was the best pitcher in the NL in the Second half of season.. in his last 10 games he threw to a 2.02 era.. and he did the same thing the year before that he pitched, he was better down stretch than in beginning.. so Again.. yer a moron

Yeah they are the team to beat all right. By that I mean they always get beat. Pettite is NOT the answer. He has been very average last couple of years. The yanks whole problem was starting pitching that was too old. Thats why they have been so inconsistent. Moose, The unit, or Pettite could break a hip at any time. Yanks need to realize that it doesnt matter what the persons name is or how good he was, if they are too old they are too old! I expect them to sign Nolan Ryan in the near future! Ha!

The Yankees, rightly or wrongly, always go into the season as the favourites.

This year they seemingly have made some excellent move in both the long term and the short term.

The Pettitte signing is an excellent one, whether it'll tip them over the edge we'll see, but if you are going into a season with Randy Johnson as your #4 starter, on paper you look very strong...

We have one old picher one middle aged pitcher. Pettitte is only 34,,,Wang 24
Johnson is the oldest, the Moose is 38,If we sign Kei Iguwa he's only 26,Phil Huges is only 20,If Pavino pitches he's only 27,The pichers we got from the Tigers are in there early 20"s,,But i guess some of these asshole people think that the yankees should sign pitchers that are 12 yrs old!!!

The Yankees are always the team to beat, but that rotation does make them look even better.

Again? they haven't been the ones to beat since 2001. Right now the Cardinals are the ones to beat, since they are the champions.

Dont you Yankee fans say that every year, right before you get your asses handed to you in the playoffs with a payroll 2 times smaller than yours? Yeah, Yankees will suck again this year.
