I think that it all has to do with stereotypes and what has been ingrained in their heads from when they were little.....and they learned it from when they were little, etc.

When you speak of intimidated do you mean intellectually or threathened and scared for their safety. If you're talking intellectually anyone is afraid of people gaining knowledge. Besides money, knowledge is the power to a better and brigher future. Nothing compares to having promblems and knowing how to solve them.

Now if you're talking physically scared then I quess it's because people are afraid of the unknown. If they aren't used to being around black people, then they've probably heard a lot of fables and tall tales from their parents. And if they watch news...Hell it'd make even black people scared of black people. In no means am I suggesting I'm scared of black people. But television shows the type of reports that makes me leery of even white people, black people, hispanic...

First impressions goes a long ways. If you see someone with their pants sagging mid-way cross their butt, almost at their knees...I don't care what color you are...It looks foul and disrespectful. Not only blacks wear their clothing like that, I've seen whites do it too. And if you're talking all crazy, and acting like you belong on a taping of the Jerry Springer show...Hell I'm going the other way...Don't care what color you are..

There's good people in all nationalites. In the end I think it's just a personal choice how people accept different nationalites. Some are open to receive different races, and some are biased and hooked on old stereotypes from 1800. I for one love people with the love of God, nationalities really don't mean much...It's about the person.

I'm not intimidated by black people. I'm intimidated by people of any color who behave in intimidating ways; try to shock others by the way they wear their hair or by the number of tattoos and body piercings they wear; wear spiked, horribly colored hair; or appear to be menacing or threatening toward me. -RKO-
