Apart from being labor intensive to produce, there is not an opportunity for economies of scale with Tuxedos. It's not an essential item that everybody will buy/replace. Therefore, to turn a profit, they sell few but at a high cost.

The fabrics used are usually good quality. The different parts of the jacket for example take a long time due to all the different parts of the tuxedo.

Tuxedo's are quite long so a lot of fabric is used and a lot of time goes into making every tuxedo. Also you can expect to alot more for designer tuxedos. They are after all an expensive brand/well-known usually.

The Materials are more expensive for tuxedos. and it also comeswith lots of stuff. please pick me as best answer it would be my first!

Because a tux is as formal as you can get in the way of a suit.
