The bible was translated from Ahramic to Greek, first. Some words survived. Virgin is a derivitive of an old Greek word denoting a girl under the age of 16. We use adolescent as the same thing.

The angel did it. Joseph was an innocent bystander.
That wasn't the Immaculate Conception, by the way. The Immaculate Conception was when Mary was conceived without original sin.

the word " virgin " might be used in the Ancient term which can also mean a " young girl or young woman. " different definitions of words can make a difference. what they meant back in Biblical times might have a totally different meaning than today.

Ok...To have a kid you must have sex. So she could not have been a virgin. She would have to had sex before marriage...which means she would go to hell. And if you're going by the bible God did rape her. And didn't the gods in all the mythology's rape mortal women ?? So God is no better then the pagan gods ummmm makes you think huh...

Absolutely! God says it in His Word and that settles it. It doesn't matter whether or not you believe it. God is truth and Mary was a virgin.

Most females are born that way.Personally, I really don't care to go back in time and check. Let me know when you get your time machine working for this all important quest though.

That may or may not be important. The thing to give thought to is that joseph believed her. Thats if you buy into the story as its passed down.
