I have to be prepared this diagram today for a software project being develope. But I heared this first time.

use is part of the Unified Approach its a new way to do design docs so are activity diagrams and sequence charts.. I like using them umm go and get yourself Visio and they have all those objects for you to use. You just make a use case for every user and all the user scenarios.. the sequence diagrams show the step to do things. I dont know if you seen one but its pretty simple you can google the UA methodology and see what you find good luck

Use case diagrams generally consist of two things: stick figures representing the different types of users and ovals representing the different use cases. I'm not sure where boxes would come in or what they would represent in a use case diagram.
