Pierluigi Collina. He was always in control of the game, took no nonsense of any players, managed to retain his sense of humour on the pitch and had the respect of players and fans alike.
You can't say that about many referees.
Strangely sexy as well, it's that piercing stare that does it for me.

the famous referee in the world has to be the one & only Pierluigi Collina of ITALY. you may recognized him by his famous bald head & he is widely respected by most of the players & managers around the world.
he is now retired from the game & he has officiated the most exciting matches such as 1999 UEFA Champions' League final (Manchester United 2-1 Bayern Munich in Barcelona, SPAIN), 2002 FIFA World Cup qualifier (GERMANY 1-5 ENGLAND in Munich, GERMANY) & of course the 2002 FIFA World Cup final in Yokohama, JAPAN where BRAZIL beat 2-0 GERMANY to win the 5th FIFA World Cup.

I agree with Naty, It's Lubos Michel, but I rate Benito Archundia (who did 5 games in WC 2006) as well.

The lady official in the Serie A.
The worst is the man who was in charge of CL final between AC Milan & Liverpool, 2nd goal was offside & third was a dive from Gerrard.
