Why are the Cowboys called Americas team? Because they sure are not mine.As a Chiefs fan I'm sure I am not the only one who feels this way. If you have a favorite team what is it?

Okay, The reason Why The Cowboys are "America's Team" (my self included) is that out of all the teams and all the Offical Liscenced NFL merchandise that is sold the Cowboys Merchandise sells the Most 25% of all the Offical NFL merchandise. Cowboys 25% (1 Team), ALL other Teams Combined (31 teams) (75%). NO other Team is even close to the market share that The Cowboys hold.

The Cheifs were the actually the Dallas Texans Before they Were the Kansas City Cheifs.

I'm NOT a Bandwagon fan either, I'm 31 and have been a Dallas Cowboys fan since I was 3yrs old.

Steelers. No question.

Ever watch a game on TV when the Steelers play in Cleveland, Washington DC, Miami, Arizona, even San Diego. You will see almost as many yellow towels as you see the home team's colors, sometimes more.

The link directly below absolutely, 100% proves the Steelers are America's team. It's a list of Steeler themed bars around the country and even the world. Does your team have this? No, they don't.

They're very high in merchandise sales and are #1 in television ratings, locally and nationally. Among all NFL teams, they have the strongest local market every week. What makes them America's team is that they have set ratings records with their nationally televised games. Super Bowl XL was the highest rated Super Bowl since 1996, which happened to be the last time the Steelers played in a Super Bowl. Besides Super Bowl XL, the AFC championship game was the highest rated television program in that 3 month span. It was also the highest rated conference championship ever. The Steelers first two games this year, both nationally televised on NBC and ESPN, set ratings records for those networks. The second game, against Jacksonville, which was boring as hell, is actually the highest rated program in ESPN history. Fox's highest rated game this season was Steelers vs. Saints. No other teams put up these numbers.

Never have liked the Cowboys. The only two players I had a lot of respect for that were Cowboys are Roger Staubach and Randy White. My favorite team is my hometown team the Buccaneers. Just proves I'm not a bandwagon fan.

I'm a huge Cowboys Fan. Go Boys!! The Cowboys are called America's team because they have the most fans worldwide. I'm not just saying that because I am a fan. That is the reason they are called America's team. I'm not one of those band-wagon fans. I've been loyal through the good times (like this year) and the bad (the last few years). SuperBowl bound, here we come. Let's go Cowboys!!!!!!!!!!!

Minnesota Vikings. I grew up in Chicago and my family were always Bears fans, but my mother was a Vikings fan. For a while I liked them both - but since Ditka left it's just not the same for me anymore. Although, it's hard to resist how excited everyone is about the Bears this year. I may become that one person I hate the most - a bandwagon jumper!

From the '70s. It was slapped on them by Bob Ryan of NFL films. Go to the link and you'll get the back story. It's marketing that's all.

Sorry, Chiefs fan, I'm a Raiders fan--Commitment to Excrement!

Denver Broncos. I've been a Broncos fan since I was 4 years old. My grandfather was a big L.A. Rams fan and thought that was the funniest thing he had ever heard. At the time the Broncos were in the AFL and were awful. Go Broncs!

They call themselves America's Team because they're pompous arrogant asses.

There is no America's Team. Never has been, never will be.
