I am a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc and I have to say that IF you are not a member of my sorority of of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc, that it is just flat out DISRESPECTFUL to perform any of our steps! b Stepping has a very deep rooted foundation and many of the steps to both AKA and DST and of other GLO's have very particular significance for us! Now if you are interested in stepping for a non GLO step team or a religious step team then there are plenty of videos that are available to teach you some basic step moves and assist you with making up steps that are appropriate for your group and that will not offend my sorority or any of the others.

Please don't. I think it is absolutely ridiculous and totally disrespectful when junior step teams mimic sororities and fraternities that they have no affiliation with. There was a high school step team at Howard's homecoming step show and they threw up ivies throughout the whole show. Suffice it to say that they got no love from the AKA's. I think it is best to be original. Be creative and Good Luck.
