"knew people with that name and didn't like the person." That is obviously saying that's the reason why, and I don't like them judging names because of other people. Just judge it on how the name sounds to you. That said.. what are your favorite names out of these?

First off I love ALL those names. They're non trendy, spelled properly (being an EriKa, having to spell your name your whole life is NOT fun), and elegant.
It's human nature to associate names with the people you. In fact, one of my best friends is named Terese-Ann (Scottish, so it's hard to say the proper way), so I do like Teresa. She'll just be Terry though eventually, so my final vote will go to Evelyn.

It's called word association... people hear a word and it triggers a memory or thought, that's why they say they don't like the name... just like I would never name my future child something that could turn into C.J.. because that's what my ex was called... there is nothing wrong with that name.. people are just expressing opinions.
All of the names in your list are pretty =) I personally like Isabella and Evelyn.

I think when you know someone who has influenced you or admire, like, dislike, the name is simply a way to remember them. For example, did you know the most common name in Africa is Charlize, because charlize theron is from S Africa.
And for example, my name is Ann. and since i was in school, i hated the name Amy becuase that means she would always be in front of me while we are stading in line for whatever reasons...then i had best friend in highschool named amy, and now i work with someone named amy who i think is so funny.
anyway, out of the names on your list, my favorite is Evelyn. that is so pretty.

Well i love the name Audrey.
No theres not a lot of people with names like that but thats unique and a lot of people will love the way it is. I know my name is different but everyone always asys i love it!!
and Audrey is a BEAUTIFUl name its gorgeous!

I would have to say I like the name Isabella, I was gonna name my little girl that but she turned out to be a he. So he got name Angel Malachi Gabriel ....

i think its a natural human reaction that when you hear a name, you associate it with someone you know with that name. and whether you like that person or not can affect how you think of the name, you know? like if you haaaate someone with the name Bob, you are going to have an influence on your opinion of the name.
anyway, i like the names rachel, eva, audrey, and natalia.
