MY husband is at the moment sat next to me watching the xmen cartoon, he also watches Spiderman, and the incredible hulk! tell me gents is this normal behaviour for a 24 year old man?!! ;)

Totally normal, my husband works 12 hour days as well and when he comes home he plays computer games. When I have questioned him on why this weird dependancy on video games he says its the only way he can calm down after a stressful day. Its mindless entertainent that takes no thinking whatsoever. I am guessing your husband and mine could be BFF.
I read a 50's manual once on how to be a good wife and it said something like hand him a drink when he gets in the door and listen to his day as he relaxes and you rub his shoulders or feet. I thank God everyday for video games because after 12 hours alone with 2 little girls the last thing I want to do is listen to stories about his crappy day.

This is normal for any man. We grow up watching or reading these characters and enjoy to see their story being told other than still pictures. The live action movies are great, but the special effects can get in the way of showing how these stories can be told. Cartoons have a bit more of a stretch that can bend all laws of physics. Plus, many cartoons can retell the story differently than that of the comic books and put a new spin on things. Like how there is ten (or hundred) different ways that Three Little Pigs was told. We just want to know a different way of telling the stories.
Don't just sit there and think he is weird, but sit there and try to understand a little more about him. We all have a part in ourselves to still be kids.

sounds like you have "maturity" issues because you might be worried about how you are percieved and you have this imaginary idea that cartoons are for children these days that is just not true.
Spongebob and pokemon are.
It sounds like a complex you have and should just get over it. Most men today do watch animation of some kind.
Also keep in mind that your father or grandfather (depending on age) used to watch bugs bunny every time they went to the theatere.
Disney has created this "kid" image about animation.

yep, totally normal...
I have a husband, age 35, works hard all week and is set on the settee with the kids (or not, depending) watching Xmen and similar on a saturday morning or whenever they come on...
Same goes for Justice League, Spiderman and the like...
no worries...
we need to find ways to decompress after long weeks at work and better children's telly then booze and drugs...lol

it may seem strange, but when a guy works 12 hours a day i don't care what kind of job he has, all he wants to do is veg out. meaning he doesn't want to watch anything that he really has to think about. when i first get home i don't even watch the six o'clock news i wait till eleven.

Hehe. I have a job, I'm a 34 year old *woman*, and I adore Spiderman.
But I mean the movies with Tobey Maguire, not the cartoons.
Gargoyles is a goodcartoon, though.

My boyfriend and i watch ren and stimpy, spongebob together, I'm 24 and He is 36! Cartoons are definetely okay. He has a sense of humor which is GOOD!

Just be careful not to have him watch superhero movies, because he'll be glued to the T.V. for hours. We guys like action & superheroes, so a combination of the two is a godsend.

He has good taste, i think me and he would get along great. and would you rather he be sitting next to you watchin cartoons or next to another woman "watching cartoons"? lol. I think the answers obvious. but dont worry, I think we all are closet cartoon watchers.
