People who are blatantly racist are usually ignorant and frightened. If you are not comfortable with what you are then anything different is a threat. Unfortunately open forums give people an anonymous way to vent their puerile opinions. I suppose it might give them some pleasure to have been able to insult someone different from them.

Because they are anonymous. They think it's funny and they probably aren't racist. They are just evil people who think saying something hurtful and stereotypical they will make fun of other people but all it does it make people wonder if everyone they come across of another race thinks and says these same things. That's why blacks are always on the defensive and white people think black people complain about racism to much. You may not think so but all these racist rants leave a little of your soul ripped away and the people who are doing don't really give a damn as long as they've expressed their opinion. They do it because they enjoy running blacks and others down to feel superior when they probably don't even know any of the people they make fun of.

I don't think there are that many racists on here.
I DO think there are a lot of people just trying to wind people up and get a reaction, looks like they succeeded.
The trick is to ignore them, they just get bored and go away.

Because they can hide behind the anonymity of their computer and spew hate, they don't have the guts to act this way in the world so they come in here and do it.

Because they are not talking directly to a person, and have no fear of getting beat up. They feel immune, and this makes them rude, obnoxious, and hateful.
