- and i don't want it to rub off on my sheets

I have used quite a few self tanners and through personal experience after prolonged use you will get somewhat of an orange tint to you it is just due to the stuff that is in the product, find a local tanning salon and see if they have a self tanner system out of all the products that i have used i loved that one the most, some places it is called a mystic tan and it will last up to two weeks but you have to exfoliate really good before going and make sure you have no kind of lotion or anything on you three hours prior to going because this can cause you to streak really badly and make sure you listen to the exact instructions from the tanning solon employee my best advice is if they don't offer you a video to watch about how to do it or if they haven't done it personally wait for another day because you are going to want someone who has done it before tell you how and show you how it is done. if you don't wish to spend that amount of money on the mystic tan you can take another route by using the loreal self tanner wipes they have them for your body and for your face and I did use those personally. they worked good but prolonged use of this product and any self tanner product on the market blocks your pores and can cause you to break out if you use it on your face. so i would suggest being very careful and not overdoing it when you are using self tanning products read the directions very well before using it. best of luck to you and i hope all works out

Have you considered a UV Free Mystic Tan? It can't be done at home, which is the only downside. I use a Mystic Tan at my local salon about twice a month for an even, streak free, long lasting, natural looking tan. It dries instantly, doesn't streak, won't rub off on sheets/clothes and is anywhere from $10-$50 depending on the salon.

It gained't have any influence to it. The self tanner actually acts only as a accepted lotion. your self tanner will come off a lot faster than the actual tan once you bypass tanning.
