Does cleaning your hands with dawn or any other grease removers get your hands clean?

I hate my mum when she tells me to wash my hand with soap and the only soap in the kitchen is dawn and dawn doesnt remove bacteria Right?

your hands will be clean. and it sounds like you have something against washing your hands. if you want to walk around with your butt on your hands go ahead, other wise, i suggest using the dawn. I dont see why your so concerned about it removing bacteria when she has to tell yout o wash them anyway. yeah, good luck with all that.

Most soaps do remove bacteria; to get your hands really clean, try Fels Naptha brand. It WILL clean everything.

Or, after using Dawn, use one of those washless "hand sanitizers" -- it's a liquid that has a lot of alcohol in it, so it's self-drying. Definately kills the bacteria, virus etc.

If you wash your hands with any type of soap it removes bacterial.

The whole anti bacterial soaps just plays on the whole insecurity issues some people have. If you wash your hands and dont use proper techniques you end up with the same bacteria on them that you just washed off.

IE Never touch the faucet with your bare hands after you just washed them. Use a paper towel to shut off the water.
