stay, or change color? and to what color will it change if it does change?

When I was studying my basic Chemistry, I used a very simple anagram to remember this one:
ABRBRB:
Acids turn Blue to Red
Bases turn Red to Blue
So, a Blue litmus in a base, will not change colour

Practically however, it could actually turn lighter shade of blue, but that is just because the water in the base is dissolving the litmus from the paper ;-)

It will stay blue. Put it in an acid and it will turn pink.
