I am assuming you want to install the tongue and grove prefinished 3/4" wood floor on top of plywood of your house sub floor .... well first measure the square area of the room and order the material or flooring that you like , have it delivered to your home and leave it in the room for at least a week with out installing it , this is so the flooring adjusts to the house temperature and moisture , next get your self roles of brown wax paper in the quantity to be lay down between the floors to prevent squeaking
, then go and rent a small compressor , and get the flooring gun with the hammer, get a box of hook flooring nails to fit the gun , have all of this in your room , take the flooring bundles out of the room , just so you can have space to work . Pick your largest straight wall and the direction you want the floor to go , before you begin laying the first strip of floor , lay down your wax paper from one side to the other cutting it at the end ,and then strip at a time cover the entire room . Now star with your longest pices possible lay the groove toward the wall , get your self some small pieces of 3/8 ply of 2" square as many as you need to put one every foot apart between the wall and your first strip , you see ,your flooring have to have a space of about 3/8" space between wall and the end of the flooring all the way around , this is necessary to allow for expansion in all the directions , if you don't watch for this, it might bulge up in the center of your room. The first strip, nail it down as straight as possible, the entire length , and then piece at a time, like laying bricks, so no joint matches at the ends , hamer your nail every 12" or so apart ,( do some practicing using the nail gun and the floor before you do your final work ) of course you will also need a small chop saw to cut square each piece ,when you came to the end next to the wall , the left over pice you will use it on the opposite wall to start the proses , until you come to the end of the room , it will be a point where the gun wont fit any more ,there the last strips carefully fit them in with a small crow bar and the very last piece you probably have to cut it down so it leaves 3/8 from the wall , cut a bunch of small wedges and force them between the wall and the last strip , get a brad nailer and some construction thick glue , and put spots ,about a foot apart all along the wall and the last strip , remove the wedges next day , you will have to buy a transition piece of flooring designed to fill the space between tile or carpet right at the door threshold , good luck.

If you don't know how to install a floor that I suggest you go to Home Depot and see them. They will give you a lot of advice. Then go to Lowes if you have one. Between the two of them you'll be calling them quite often. This is quite a project for a novice.

Too many variables to give a good answer. You should consult someone in your area, to get all the info you need is not possible here. I think there is an organization called "National wood flooring consultants" or something like that that can give you lots of good un-biased advice free.
