Well I have a husband who is all funny funny funny but sucks in the romance dept. Life isnt always funny some times I would like to feel love and romance and not just hear how funny it is. I think you need both. Having just one has its ups and down.

Laughing together is more precious because eventually, the romance will fade slowly away.
But you can always have a good laugh

More precious, romance. I love the heady feeling of a budding new love. What's better than not being to think of anything else but the one person who's making you happy.
Later on, laughing together is very important. I always like it when my love interest is also my best friend.

That's a hard one. I wonder if sometime truly laughing TOGETHER wouldn't be more mentally intimate than romance. You can have romance with no fun. That would still be an unhappy existence.
If you are laughing together the intimacy or romance will come and if you doesn't, you are still having fun. Strict romance with no laughing or fun is no more than empty aerobics.

If you're a couple, it's hard to find times for romance. But you can enjoy a laugh anytime, over insignificant things such as the car battery dying or forgetting to purchase toilet paper. So probably romance. Except romance is so nebulous, I only really associate it with falling in love and that time is sorta nerve wracking. So maybe laughter since you are in a couple, hopefully with the love of your life.

Laughter. You can always tell each what you think is romatic and the other can do that or you can set the mood yourself for the both of you But if he/she does not make you laugh now they never will. Laughter also comes in handy in more situations than romance does. Laughing keeps you young, laughing together keeps you connected, especially all of those "inside jokes".

Laughing together. You can work on the romance aspect of the relationship, but if you don't laugh together the relationship is in trouble!

They are both great, so why not have both.... I'm married 20 years with my wonderful wife and we still romance and we laugh and party together like there is no tomorrow. We just got back from Dominican, and that was her birthday present... she knew the day before.

Laughing together.
It's so personal and there's a connection between the two souls. By laughing together, it embodies a shared happiness. And that surpasses romance anyday.
