For one thing,
google = search engine
googol = a "1" with a hundred zeros after it.
As for your question how you wonder how many will get it right, you have to realize we live in an information age where we can look up things on the internet rather quickly (ESPECIALLY with the search engine google, coincidentally enough). It wouldn't be surprising if most people who answered you got it correct.
