First of all don't feel bad...I didn't learn to drive till I was 22. I still hate getting on highways...ugh!
First of all figure out what scares u the most about driving...
Face that fear...
Get behind a wheel with a trusted friend even if it's just to ride around in a parking lot...
Think about the freedom you will have being able to get around urself...
Go for it...
Zoooommmm
Try a motor bike for starters...

Hey, I am 29. I got my license earlier this year. I had a major fear of driving. But, once I actually forced myself to get behind the wheel, I was fine. I started driving our car around the city streets where we live...we don't live in a very large town...and worked my way up to "big city" driving. It will take steps, but I only had to practice for a month before I went and took my driving test for my license...which I aced by the way. :-)

don't dispair. I'm 38 and never learned how to snap my fingers!
it's only too late when you're dead.
there are plenty of people who never learn how to read until their 50s or 60s, people who hid their illiteracy literally for a lifetime. not knowing how to drive is less of a social stigma than that. We as a society applaud those who overcome their limitations; the only true humiliation is never making an attempt.
You can do it!

Yes. I was 26 when I got my license. Go to the dnv and get a drivers permit and have someone ride with you so you can get the feel of it. After that it's just like ridng a bicycle. The more you do it the easier it gets.

Don't be embarrassed...call up you local driving school and get started. Once you begin to like and understand the freedom that driving yourself gives you, other stuff will just fall into place.
