There's one very important reason we'll never land on the Sun, and it's not the heat (while that doesn't help).
It's because the Sun has no solid surface! It's the same reason you can't land on Jupiter or Saturn. They're made of gas. Ever tried standing on air before? Same idea, only it's hydrogen, which is even lighter.
Sorry to dash the hopes. It's kinda boring, all the sun does is pour radiation into space.

Back in the 1960s I read a science fiction story about cruising around the photosphere. The problems they had to solve were a crushing gravitational field, about 28g. They solved this by circulating electrons in a synchrotron above the vehicle at close to the speed of light. The relativistic mass increase of the electrons created a gravitational field which locally cancelled that of the Sun. Very high temperature; about 6000K. They solved this by giving the vehicle a protective cover of carbon vapour which insulated it. Like water drops skidding around on a hot stove, insulated from the heat by a thin film of steam. An unhealthy dose of radiation. They solved this by surrounding the vehicle with shielding and a magnetic field. I was only about 20 but I spotted several flaws in their system; don't hold your breath waiting.

If we were able to send a probe into the sun it probably wouldn't get past the corona, since it is the hottest part, besides the core. It reaches temperatures of 1,800,000 degrees Fahrenheit. If we could get a probe to the corona, it would last a couple of minutes, but it wouldn't hit a surface. It would keep sinking IF it didn't melt.
BTW the closest we have gotten to the sun is only 27 million miles with the Helios Mission.

Human bodies are far too fragile to sustain the temperatures involved.
The sun apparently will eventually "land" on Earth, however (as it "dies". By which time, unless we have mutated into a life form which can sustain the extreme heat, or we vacate this planet we call home for a cooler spot in the universe, we will perish.

Impossible. The Sun's outer visible layer is called the photosphere and has a temperature of 6,000°C (11,000°F). Can you imagine how hot that is?. For humans to live they need resources like water, land, air, oxygen and food etc. Almost everything will burn if its near the sun. Mercury which is the nearest to the sun, rocky planet has almost no atmosphere. And if there is no atmosphere there is no oxygen to breath you die. You cannot bring a oxygen tank that will burn also. :)

No, our bodies apparently couldn't take the heat. It is possible that our sun could "burn us" as far as earth goes, but patterns of other stars have shown that the sun will lose density, and as it grows during the final stages of its life, and as it grows, the gravitational pull will be lesser because of the loss of density.

Resisting the heat would be a challenge. The surface temperature of the sun is ~5500C. The closest material (I believe) we have capable of resisting that temperature is carbon fiber (~2500 to 3000C). This does not account for the corona or the core, which have temperature of 5million C and 13.5million C respectively.

No. If we can ever construct anything that can withstand the tempreature of the sun, it will still be impossible to build something to withstand the pressure of the sun.

I'm sure we will land on the Sun, but you have identified one of the problems we'll have to overcome-------the heat.
So my suggestion is, don't spread this around----let's just keep it to ourselves-----
