You don't need to masturbate while you have your period, but if you do so through orgasm, it helps with cramps. An orgasm constricts your cervix, which helps you shed the lining. Resulting in less cramps.

Are girls supposed to masturbate on their period? They are never "supposed" to masturbate, but many women (and men) do because it is pleasing.

Women can certainly do it while on their period...a lot of women don't orgasm vaginally anyway, and clitoral orgasms wouldn't affect or be affected by one's period if they wear tampons for protection.

LMAO the first answer is so funny and sadly true... kindof. It can be messy, and you may want to make sure that your hands are clean, but other than that-- go for it!

Actually, when you have an org@sm, i relieves cramping because it releases your muscles... so doing that act while on your period helps cramps and is actually healthy.
