how long is he gonna be on death row before it happens?

Sure is. It usually takes about 12-15 years because of appeals, appeals and more appeals. Think about it, if an innocent person was wrongly on death row and they executed him/her right away.

Yep. People spend years on death row. So if he is on there (sorry, I can't remember), it'll be a while. Death row is nearly a life sentence now, that's how long it takes.

I presume that he is alive and well at San Quentin prison, while the appeals of his sentence wend their weary way through the courts.
