I am 15 and REALLY want to get my belly button pierced. The problem is that my mom won't let me and I need parent approval. Also, I heard that my belly button going to stretch while I'm growing and look weird with a piercing...is that true??

Yes, your belly button will stretch because you are only 15 and you are still growing. You will get taller and your body shape will change. I fyou get it now... it'll look a little off set when you are older and done developing. And, as far as your Mom goes.... she certainly isn't the only Mom that doesn't want their 15 year old daughter to get there belly button pierced. Just wait a little while until you are older.
And, PLEASE, don't go and try to do it yourself... or have a friend do it. It doesn't look the same... it looks nasty and trashy when it isn't properly done. Besides, you can get an infection, etc.

So not worth it. Your belly button WILL stretch out, and most of the time, it doesn't even look good. There will be lots of stretching and swelling and crust. If you really want a piercing, do it when you're done growing, so it won't look as trashy. 15 and having a belly button pierced sends off all types of wrong messages, which is probably why your mother doesn't approve.

Belly stretching? That sounds like utter poo to me. Sure of course it will stretch but not noticeably for your belly button. I got my button pierced when i was 15 without parental consent, I had permission but they didn't need to sign anything so i went alone. I guess it depends where you go. You should get permission from your parents first, but if you really want it done and they wont budge, ask a friends mum to act as your mum or something, it might work pretty well. Be prepared for pain and a lto of trouble if you do go behind your parents backs.

It might stretch, but probably not a noticeable amount. Depending on how much you grow its questionable. I personally don't like piercing anyone younger than 18 because often they are not in the correct mindset of wanting the piercing. But a lot of 16/17 year olds get it done and thats a fine age. Just wait a while and make sure you want it.
Sadly, if your mother won't allow you to get the piercing, you will have to respect her wishes and not get the piercing. Just wait until you are 18 and old enough to get the piercing yourself. Doing it now behind her back or against her wishes will upset her, break your relationship with her and she will trust you a lot less. Trust me, I've been there. I love piercings and body mods, but you should listen to mother.

Personally I think belly button rings are more attractive. I have one and I didnt think it was painful. My sister has both and she said her nose hurt the worst out of all her piercings, she has gotten her rook, nose, and belly button. Complications can happen with either you just have to be careful not to get an infection. They both will scar but the nose would be seen more. My sister has a little hold in her nose (it is closed) but you can see where it was. It isnt really noticable but still there. And belly buttons rings leave a circle scar which isnt the prettiest. I hope this helps you decide.

Before you get any belly button piercing read the article at the link I've included. This young woman lived not far from where I live and she died in March of this year. Listen to your mom.

The belly button only streches for 2 things, if you get to fat or if you are having a baby. You can always repierce if later as needed

You are done growing, unless you gain a lot of weight or get pregnant it will not change. But I agree with your mom, when you are 18 you can do whatever you want. I had to wait until my 18th birthday to get mine done. Oh and by the way IT HURTS!!!

You shouldn't get one yet, I got mine at age 20 and I loved it but I would wait 5 more years... Your body does change, and it really will change in 5 years your still young....
