Nope, they discourage unhealthy behavior and want to keep the employees alive for as long as possible.

I did some work for Phillip Morris...alot of them are former smokers or don't smoke. They do smoke indoors at work and they do smoke in formal meetings at there plant...it's weird...i also did work for another big tobacco company, we went to a hotel, which was all non-smoking for a conference...they paid the hotel to make it a smoking hotel for the weekend.
In general some of the coolist and kind people i've ever worked for...but, they are creepy in this way...they know what they do kills millions of people, and they have all sorts of stock anwsers why they do what they do, i guess it helps them justify how they make a living...but...get one of them really drunk and they'll tell you how guilty they feel about working for the company that kills more people then any world war.
They were some of the nicest people to work with...but after every meeting I's feel like I needed a shower!

Oh I am sure they have a designated stink room so that the smokers who work there (probably a prerequisite - must smoke at least 2 packs a day) will keep their free advertising going. Their bonus would be extra cartons so that they can continue that nasty habit and pass it on to their family members. They probably have cute little bulletin boards with a cute cigarette as their mascot, encouraging smokers to puff, puff, puff away!
Oh yes, they're also allowed to throw the butts wherever they are standing, as the janitorial crew (who probably smoke too) will clean it all up at the end of the shift.

I believe so. As a matter of fact, when I toured the Miller Brewing Co in Milwaukee, WI......I went to put my cig out before entering the building, and the doorman stopped me. Inside the building is private property, and since they are owned by Phillip Morris (or at least were at the time) you could smoke inside the building. Just not near the production line.

They still have to comply with Federal regulations, so no, except in designated smoking areas.
Incidentally, Phillip Morris (Marlboro and others) has one of the best designated smoking areas i've ever seen! Huge comfy chairs, free items from the vending machines, free cigarrettes, etc.
Even the non-smokers hang out in the designated smoking area.

I imagine that they do in some areas, but state and Federal workplace regulations are increasingly stringent about limiting smoking on the job.
