I'm gay myself and wasn't refereing to gay people as weird. It was just question about ALL weird people gay or not.

Often it's the unknown which repels us as we do not have a coping mechanism. Also, we humans have a tendency to make value judgments of the unknown as a defense mechanism against "weird people."
All that said, "weird people" are also outside the norm and - try or not - are different. Most of us don't have the nerve to move outside the flock so we will be both repelled and attracted by the weird. Most of us don't rebel but we love rebels.
Curiously, the word weird - I believe - is derived from the Old Norse word Wyrd, meaning Fate!
My question in response would be: Why do you pose the question in a way that calls gay people weird.
Isn't standing in a house with a bell talking to a statue of a woman not really married to her husband because they haven't consumated the marriage yet she's about to give birth to the Supreme Being's kid because she had an affair all three of them a bit weird.
Oh hang on, you can't talk to the Supreme Being though as you have to go through a celibate person who can give you advice about sex. OK, now I'm ranting.

More like, curious. You want to see what makes them weird. What factors in their childhood made them behave in such a weird manner.

Depends on the weird person. If they're out-of-their-mind, glue-sniffing, snot-eating weird, then no... but if they're just quiet and dress differently, then yes. They're the people that you notice.
