One of my best friends left today to go to England for school and i'm not going to see her for a while because i'm moving to the states. I miss her so much and i don't know what to do. It hurts so bad. Please can someone cheer me up or something because it really sucks.

It is hard to see a good friend go. One of my best friends moved from the states to Italy. I miss her. Hugs to you.

Friends are like the mountains (said Kabil Gilbran-The prophet)
when they are far away, you will see them better from the distance than you would if you were too close.
When you love someone, it is not the miles that you are far away that counts. You could be very close even at 10 thousand miles away...as you could be far from each other even if you lived under the same roof. As the years pass, your friendship will grow (if it is real) no matter where you are or how often you see each other. because a true friend is never too far from your hart..

Distance is hard to overcome, but in todays world there is always the computer, phone and the U.S. mail. You or your friend can always plan a vacation to see the other one in the future and stay in touch until then. It will work out and in the mean time, go out there and make new friends.

hey cheer up.. its a new begining, not a ending~ you can stay in touch by writing & emailing pictures & post cards, i know its not the same & in the begining it may seem hard, but trust me its gonna all be alright honey.. stay strong & keep in touch with your friend, my best friend from 5 until now 26yrs later & i grew up in harlem (n.y.c) when i was 16 my momm moved us to n.c & it was so hard on us both especially since we didnt have computers nor long distance all we could do was write eachother & u can imagine how hard that was going from talking about everything to having to write anything we wanted to talk about, then she moved to tampa florida where she still lives now & we are still the best of friends with children & families of our own we still talk daily & visit 1-2xs a year...

Obviously your going to need a new best friend. But don't let her go either, good friends are rare. Keep in touch with her, but go out and meet new people. Join a club, sport, the circus (jk), just meet some new people.

How old are you?
Just remember that people die and this world keeps on going. She is only moving away. You can still remain in touch.
Also, if you are young, she will be one among many for whom you will feel this way.

in life there is a time to be together & to be apart.so try to be don't feel hurt. i miss 4 of my friends to much.we r not together i mean they r in other country. if ur friend have email address write her & tell her u miss & love her ,that make u feel well.

One thing you could do, is write letters to her every time you start to miss her. You can save them and give them to her when she comes back or you could mail them to her. It is hard when they first leave, but time heals the pain.
