It's still kind of early for you to be wanting to induce labor. Even though your baby is more than likely to survive there can still be plenty of complications. You need to just wait until baby is ready to come. Once you are full term then you can try to induce by having sex but other than that you just have to wait.

I know you dont want to hear this, but she is right... you gotta just wait it out. I was in tears toward the end of my second pregnancy I couldnt take it anymore! I also was carrying around a 9 lb baby. But I did everything almost and was still ten weeks late. I walked a ton! But like the person said before if you are before 36 weeks they will stop the labor. The baby isnt ready to come out yet. I know it sucks. :(

I am 34 weeks prego, so I know how you feel. It sucks!! I have yet to find a way to speed things up, but any doctor will agree, let it ride it's course. A little later on in your pregnancy, having sex is said to help induce labor, but I am not sure why that is. Just ride it out. I have started sleeping up-right on the couch and it's actually working for my back pain and mild contractions. Good luck, and congrats!!!

Sara, my bf just had her baby at 33 weeks, she was 4 pounds and on oxygen
she has been there for 2 weeks now and my friend can't hold her with out the wires and tubes and everything,
she can't breast feed properly because its so difficult to position her correctly with all the wires ect..
And even when she tries the NICU is open and she has to flash her breasts to everyone coming in to the section.
she has to get up at 1 am and drive her breast milk to the hospital so the baby can eat, and then again at 3 am.
She cries everyday and has to worry that her baby might die in her sleep everynight,
If this isn't what you want then you need to have patience and relax, and keep her safe, inside you until she is ready to come and meet you,
So I suggest you be grateful that your inpain becasue that menas your baby is alive and well, and reminding you that she is strong and healthy, and will be hear soon enough.
Good luck, and i didn't mean to scare or worry you if i did,
I just wanted to give you some perspective,
Hope it helps you relax,
good luck
Meg

I know how you feel. It gets hard at the end of the pregnancy and I think as you enter the last few weeks every woman is anxious to have the baby out. But you are way too early to have it. You would be unhappy if you did. Your baby would have to spend a long time in NICU until its lungs developed. I know it's hard but it will be over within a few weeks. It is hard to sleep when you are uncomfortably pregnant but it will be hard to sleep while you're baby is up every few hours too. So think of it as practice. Goodluck!

Honey, beleive me I understand exactly what you are going through. My last child is only 11m old, and that was the worst pregnancy!! THe worst nine months of my life! HOWEVER, you are still too early to go. Your baby's lungs are still not developed. You greatly endanger the health of your child if you deliver before 37 weeks. You still need to hang on for one more month. I would not give you any advice to naturally induce labor at this point, it could be very dangerouse for both you and the child. Please try to hang on for your babies sake, well there's not much else you can do anyway. I know it is hard at this point, hang in there, you can do it!

First of all you need to talk to your doctor about this and not here on the boards.
Who knows maybe there is a problem and you need to be on bed rest and off your feet until the baby is ready.
My water broke with my baby at 29 weeks and I stayed in the hospital until 36 weeks when my doctor told me my baby was ready to deliver. I was scared everyday day in that hospital until he was born and if he wasn't moving I would try to wake him or have the nurse come in to find his heart beat. For my water being broken so long he came out just fine with out infection.
So don't wish your preganacy away as after my little one was born my doctor told me that I couldn't carry a child full term and we are lucky to have this one. I never got to enjoy my pregnancy.
Take care and good luck

I know you want it over with, but it is NOT SAFE for the baby at this point to be born. You are just going to have to wait it out like the rest of us have. Try to relax. The baby really will be here before you know it.

no offense, but you're out of your mind. Your baby is premature. if you want a premature baby, obviously you have no concept of what it means. You really want to leave your baby in the hospital and have to go home alone? have an oxygen tank and/or apnea monitor to cart around too? i dont think so. Babies deserve each and every day in the womb. You're going to have to do a lot to sacrifice for your children, start now and give that baby a healthy start.

Have you tried one of those belly belts? They wrap around your lower belly and kind of hold it up from your pelvis to give you a better center of gravity. Just make sure you try it on in the store before you buy it as I got one and it was too big and didn't hold me as firm as I would have liked until I was further along.
I am not enjoying being pregnant either, my boy keeps moving onto organs I wasn't aware of before and sticks his head up between my ribs and skin somehow. I just keep getting told that it is all worth it blah blah blah... and a friend of mine who can't have children is completely jealous and that reminds me just how lucky I am to be able to have a baby that kicks me and keeps me awake at night.
Good Luck
