It would probably be a national team like Pele's Brazil...or Italy of 1982 or 2006. Or Dutch team when they played "total football" in 1974.

The US is absolutely crud at soccer...that's why you don't consider it a "real" sport. Otherwise if you define a sport as a "physical activity" then it's more sport then any American sport where they play for 5 seconds then sit down for 10 minutes. LOL..is that sport? LMAO!!!
p.s. The US suck at baseball (flopped in the World Baseball Classic)...is that now not a true sport either?
Can't wait when the rest of the world starts playing NFL...so they can beat the US at that too. LOL

They did not win the World Cup but I'd say for talent level and the advanced tactics--Hungary in the 1950s.
If you want a more modern example, maybe the Milan team of Rijkaard, Gullitt, Van Basten and Baresi.
