Loyalty. You can have one good year or two but if you try to jump ship the moment things are right it's not going to send a good message to your players you recruited for a 4 year commitment and it won't look good to a future employer that goes after you. Of course offers will come out of desperation with lack of other candidates and also will be hoping for a good year and success you had at the job before. This will set a coach up to fail because the expectatiosn are so high. Especially at a big football school like Bama. If your an alumni at a school it makes it even harder. Show critics its not a fluke and if you do well in the future it will only make teams want you even more. Example Pete Carroll at USC the past 5 years and now NFL teams and every college team imaginable trying to get him..

He is a WVU alum, he grew up a half hour from Morgantown, and WVU gave him some incentive to stay, not to mention his wife and family love the area. Im go to WVU and I was estatic to hear he was staying, he is quite possibly the most popular man in the state. He has a much better chance of winning at WVU than at Alabama, WVU has 8 more wins total than Bama in the last ten years, and 11 more in the last 15 years, yea that was counting when WVU had a really tuff schedule year in and year out, and he has 34 out 44 returning from the two deep depth chart from a 10 win team, and a backfield that should be composed of all americans.

Ya, tough to leave your alum. I mean Charlie won't leave South Bend for awhile.
Plus, there are two words why to return. Pat White.
And it will be hard for Bama to have success in the tough SEC. WVU probably has like 3 to 1 chances to win their conference every year.

He's a WVU alum and native of the area. It would have been really tough for him to leave Morgantown.
