The sea is so large it wouldn't harm you if there was any around. I would be more worried about a swimming pool......

The only way for you to be swimming in polluted (there are much worse thing humans dump in our oceans), waters is if the ecosystem services that we all take for granted, stop functioning (we currently are overwhelming those said systems).

You are swimming in every form of ocean species fecal matter as well as human waste. Gross yes I know whats even sicker is when you swallow a mouthful of that nasty water....yuck!

thats a good question and i have no idea. just make sure you wash but most likely its more animal s-hit then peoples.

All that water that is consumed by you could have been drank and pissed out by a dinosaur ;) think on that one. After all water is just recycled.
