For me, I know it seems silly but one is wondering what was going to happen on 6/6/6 lol. Another was starting college and the other was my son starting to ride his bike with no training wheels (at the age of 2) those memories will stick out to me forever when I think about this year. What will YOU remember about 2006?
(feel free to answer my other Q's too lol :)

Niki, I can relate. Trust me, I really can. It's good to learn from experience though and make it have a positive effect on you. Good luck with your future and son :)

2006 will be remembered as a lesson on how fragile life truly is. I found out my husband and i were expecting our first child, lost my beautiful grandfather after a simple broken hip, gave birth to our amazing healthy son,and neary lost my own life due to complications during birth. I learnt how fragile, life is. I no longer feel invincible, and respect life in a different more apreciative way.

How great the economy was. Starting college with prospects of a $70k a year job after, only to graduate amid the financial crisis making half as much. It was the year I saw the world for what it really was, a big mess run by a bunch of *******. If anything it was the year that ruined my life. If I could go back to 2006 I would have done things A LOT differently.

vacationing in Florida for two weeks in a truly luxurious home with 6 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms, a private swimming pool, 3 wings, chauffeur service to and from anywhere, a cleaning lady living in a searate residence, a cook, and a thoroughly stocked bar in the main living room and in the master bedroom the master bedroom also had: a walk in shower large enough for 10 people, a sauna, a jacuzi, an indoor wave pool, a tanning bed, a trickling waterfalls, and a wall size tv screen.

I will remember 2006 as the starting point of the rest of my life. I got the home of my dreams, a new job that I love, and my new hubby and I are settled in and comfortable. We have no worries this year, unlike the past 5+. This was a good year for me.

It's been the year of my first true love. We went out for a year and five months (It started in May 2005, ended October 2006). We've gone through so much together, felt as if we'd spend the rest of our lives together, and became closer than I ever imagined......I became completely dependent on knowing that he loved me and having him to lean on. But then it ended(he ended it) ......I couldn't believe it...I didn't know how I'd go on, but here I am! And I'm going to be just fine. I've grown up a lot this year.........

Personally... The first winter I didn´t have a depression in years lol... Entering university, meeting the love of my life (who has gone now), this is the year where I made a break-trough from being a teenager to an almost grown up.

For me, I will remember, or try to remember, the almost 3,000 Americans who died in Iraq, the countless civilians who lived there and died, and those of other nations who died. Your question is sweet and I think you're a really fine person, but we need to make changes in the world and begin to stop the hatred amongst nations.
