i just bought a chrysler cirrus 1999 and it has 25,500 miles on it and i bout it for 5,000. i dont think i have any problems on it but when i change gears it makes a weird noise and also when i stop. does anyone have any idea of what it is ? please help.. thank you

low miles your parts should be ok. the years on it you may need to change your fluids.

It makes it hard to answer when we don't know if it is manual or automatic. The car is kind of old, but that is not many miles on it. Actually if you got it for $5000, that is almost like buying a new demo car. Chrysler used to make could products. I have only owned one in my life though, and that was a 1957 DeSoto with a hemi engine. The only problem I ever had with that was breaking a drive shaft. I know it sure was a fast car. I know that does not answer your question, but you also asked if they were any good. I thought I would add what I did and let you be the judge of that.

you are very close to the tranny in that car so you will hear everything , it's about time for a tranny fluid change anyways so get that done , switch the engine to synthetic oil and you will be able to enjoy it for many years , maintenance doesn't cost , it pays .
