The Capital One bowl pays the most next to the BCS, so I guess it is the next best.

The Alamo and Capital One Bowls are pretty good, but you don't wanna get invited to the New Orleans Bowl. It's the stinkiest one!

Well, it really all depends on your conference. For the Big Ten and SEC, it's probably the Capital One Bowl.
Another good one is the Gator Bowl.
Another good one os the Holiday Bowl.
I think the Chick-Fil-A-Peach Bowl is good too.
