We are sending radio and television signals into outer space in hopes that other intelligent beings will know that we exist. Whether they want to colonize us or not is no the issue. The way things are going on Earth, we may want to colonize THEM !!!

I'm surprised that the SETI has not heard a peep out deep space...all is silent. With the billions upon billions of stars and solar systems, per Drake's Equation, you'd think we would've heard something by now. It only took us less than 200 years to develop the technology to reach and listen/observe deep space, why hasn't there been an answer?
Are we alone in the Universe??? It's not statistically probable, but.....

Well there lots of things we have to ask our self. Dose our planet earth support there life. Them coming here could make them sick things like our common cold flu sound silly these are very day things for us. But to them that could be like having HIV or even Aids who knows really. If they wanted to wipe us out that would be easy they can sit in space shot down our nukes and whatever else we had to throw at them. But if they where coming here to over take the world. I don't think they would find us a easy push over. We are not dummies we can think for our self we have billions of people here. I think the world would united to drive the invader's away.

Despite our vast technological improvements over the years, we have yet to find any other life forms anywhere close to us (let alone intelligent ones capable of invading us)...meaning anything that is alive out there must be incredibly far away. So far away, in fact, that it would require that they be so technologically advanced compared to us, that they have developed some way to transport massive numbers of their life forms in a way that wouldn't take hundreds of years to get here. Our fastest form of travel would take us that long to get anywhere as far away as we have established that they must live.
So, if we are dealing with a life form that is so incredibly technologically advanced compared to us, then you can bet that they would be able to find us without us having to send out archaeic radio signals. Also, if they were agressive, then they would be actively looking for places to colonize.
So, we have established that:
1) They must be very, very, very far away.
2) They must be much more technologically advanced as they are capable of getting here in large numbers from so far away, so much more quickly than we can.
3) If they are so much more techologically advanced, then they wouldn't need our help for them to find us, especially if they were looking.
4) If agressive, they would be looking for us.
So, as you can see, our sending out archaeic radio signals wouldn't logically initiate a hostile alien invasion if it wasn't already going to happen anyway.

You are FAR too late to be concerned about all this----
and word was out some time ago about who we are and where we are and the lifeforms you are speaking of have long since got a bead on our butts --- just a matter of time !!!

Many of the planets in known universe are about 5 billion years old..let me put it this way 3 billion years ago on earth the most evolved form of life was a worm! And I mean by this that we still have very very much to learn. so if the want to colonies us....they probably already know about us anyway.

confident, you do deliver out radio waves once you text fabric besides the shown fact that that's uncertain that extraterrestrial beings ought to decode that as text fabric without some references. the skill point might additionally be very low and as skill diminishes with the inverse sq. of the gap, there is little probability they might have the skill to detect it. additionally it would take an somewhat long term to realize an alien if in any respect.

The funny thing is, some scientists would be happier under alien rule, knowing that their hard work, tedious research, and endless hours at the lab paid off...by bringing the aliens here in the first place.
Just keep those anal probes away...
