Unless you have access/subscription to the MLS this type of information is not available immediately. If you live in a major city(Philadelphia has one), about 2 months or 3 months afterward the Tax Board web site has this information available on their site.

Depends on the state. If you are doing research, you should be able to go down to the county records section and look at the deeds. This will give you a lot of information about the property. This should have what type of loan was taken out (variable, fixed), the amount and so forth.

I know that some counties in Texas has this on the internet, but it does take some knowledge of how to get there.

Your local paper should list all the purchases and sales within your area.
