I heavily rely on "ZOUT" for all my stains. It's a "brand name" product and a bit more expensive, but I've tried so many others and found that Zout really IS th best on the market!
I swear by it -it's THE BEST stuff, found in your laundry aisle!
You have to spray it on before you wash your items, let it set a few minutes and throw the item in the wash, as normal.
GOOD LUCK!!!!!

The stuff already submitted sounds good... white vinegar works for odors, too... Unfortunately, I've had the same problem and have usually ended up having to file it with the rags... especially if it's been washed and dried several times already... good luck!

Perspiration Stains
Sweat won't stain if you let your antiperspirant or deodorant dry prior to putting on your clothes. Before you wash shirts, pretreat the underarm areas with undiluted liquid laundry detergent so sweat will rinse away. Pretreat any existing stains with household vinegar to help dissolve the perspiration. To prevent more buildup, wash in the hottest water that's safe for that fabric at least every third or fourth time.

There is a cheap product from the Dollar Tree chain called Awesome that works well. Also, try oxyclean or a combination of shout and (color safe) bleach will work if you soak it over night, Good luck!
