I gave my bf a cell phone that I added to my account, and now it appears we are no longer together. I haven't talked to him, and don't want to pay the fee for having it disconnected. Can I just have them deactivate the SIM card, and continue to pay the minimum monthly bill?

Tell them you lost the phone and they'll shut it off. If you have another SIM or buy another SIM you can have the account transferred to it.

Well.... Do this.
Buy another sim card and have that one activated under his phone number that you gave him and that will deactivate the other sim card he has. Then just keep the sim card you have in a safe place or you can just let someone else use it with another phone.
