I own a 1981 and a 1983 Lancer 2000 EX Turbo, they share the same engines as the Starion but have a different flywheel, but it's still the 4g63B engine.
My 1983 has Omega forged pistons, they made a few sets and drop the comression ratio low enough for me to run more boost, coupled with a fuel regulator and Methanol Water injection I can also run slightly more advance.

A race engine building mate of mine found that the Accralite Pistons for the 2.0 Zetec engine have the same dimensions as the 4g63b piston, however, in order to get them to fit you need to get the little end machined in order to take the conrod and gudgeon pin which is slightly larger on the Mitsi. He said that with a minimal amount of work then they will fit and work well.

Also, with Accralites you can buy the piston and machine it down to the compression ration you want.

To be honest the standard Mitsi pistons are fine unless you're running silly amounts of boost, the standard ones can handle 14 - 16 psi all day, provided the rest of the setup is right. The main thing to avoid is getting "Detonation" which tends to crack the skirt of them, to reduce "Det" you have to retard the ignition, which doesn't help the performance of the engine, thus you have to find a way of increasing boost and not having to retard the ignition.

You can try by running colder plugs (I used NGK BCR9ES, special order) , doing something with the airflow (K & N) and perhaps running a higher octane fuel (Superplus unleaded)

If you want more info, then try the Mitsubishi Lancer Register , or Email me and I'll give you the info regarding the Machining and part numbers / Dimensions for the Accralites.
Very often the MLR has pistons for sale, or some of the racing guys will know what to do.
I know that when Jeff Williamson was racing lancers in the 80's he ran 16 psi in his racers on standard pistons.

Napa, Ebay, AutoZone.... Any place near you that has Catalog for Clevite... If you don't have a 2600, 2.6 Someone has swapped out your engine with something else or You have a Import only Engine 2.0 L with the now well-known 4G63 2.0 L for Japan and Australian market ...

Look for Clevite or http://www.clevite.com/

If your turns out to be 2.6 Like Most American models

224-2375.std Clevite Piston

Chrysler, Dodge & Plymouth:

156cid 2.6L L4, 1984-1987, Conquest

Mitsubishi:
2555cc 2.6L L4, 1984-1987, G54B, To 6/87, Turbocharged

Mopar Has different engine setups for the Conquest but all around the Mistu Starion... And The Mistu Engine....

This engine is known to be the biggest Dog both companies ever invested in.... There are replacement parts out there but you'll find most listed under the Conquest...

If you could come up with a Swap for better power band I Highly recommend something different... I like the cars Styling inside and out but it didn't perform very well even with the Turbo setup...
