I don't see why not. The sugar content might be high but you are making me hungry just thinking about it. Food list to avoid would be Brie cheese (sp?). That kind of cheese can actually cause miscarriage. Yes, it is safe as long as you aren't a diabetic. Try a marshmallow fluff and banana sandwich. They are great. Add peanut-butter for an extra yummy treat.

Some people say to avoid peanuts, some say all nuts. Some say no soft cheese, some say no deli meats, some say no raw fish, moderate caffeine, fish, etc.
Peanuts/nuts because of potential allergy: not proven conclusively.
Soft cheese/deli meat: Listeria. Though listeria is very harmful during pregnancy it can contaminate almost anything. Read about it and use *YOUR* best judgment.
Raw fish: Potential for parasites. Your risk is not increased because you are pregnant and parasites can not cross the placenta and hurt your baby.
Caffeine: may increase your risk of miscarriage if consumed over a "reasonable" about.
Fish: certain fish are contaminated with mercury. Research the ones you commonly eat. There are too many to get into here.
Ultimately use your best judgment.

I have never heard of a problem with eating marshmellows, but you have to make sure that what you're eating is a little healthier than that. I know it's hard to do- I'm in my 34th week and am hungry for junk 24/7. Avoid mass amounts of caffeine, under-cooked meat, runny eggs, NO raw fish, or fish high in magnesium. Also, obviously, no smoking or drinking. These are all things that were passed to me straight from my doctor. Good luck!

You should avoid soft cheese and anything that is not pasturized. Along with egg whites or under cooked eggs. As well as under cooked meat. Also shell fish. It's all because of the risk for food poisoning is greater with these.

It should be safe not the healthist but safe. When I was pregnant my doctor didn't give me any kind of a list of what to avoid but that I should eat well balanced healthy meals.

My mom ate marshmallow fluff, and I turned out O.K. You shouldn't overdo it, but as a special treat, it shouldn't hurt.

Sorry, I can only remember a few... she's almost 2.
Definately avoid shellfish (e.g. shrimp, lobster, crab), limit caffiene intake, no alcohol or smoking. Healthy foods such as veggies and fruits.
Good Luck! and Congratulations!
