Now Joey is the main character in Blue's Clues. What happened to Steve? I heard he got on drugs. Is that true?

Last I heard, he was starting a rock band, and was just enjoying some anonymity. Being the star of a huge kid's show is a big responsibility and he just wanted to break out of that and live a normal life. And it's not Joey........it's Joe.

Steve just left the show...no drugs, no bad behavior...it was just time for him to move on.
