because the computer hosting the server is not able to respond to you (too many users, hardware/software issues, internet connection is down).

We have wireless internet at work. We had a tech come out once and he said it was because the technology we were using for wireless was a bit outdated and our wireless signal was going to get lost alot because of this. Also, sometimes it's because your ISP is down. Sometimes bad weather can cause it. If you typically search during peak times (when there is a lot of traffic on the internet) then it can sometimes be caused by that.

This problem can be caused by many things. The most common is that you are disconnected from whatever internet provider you have. Without any more details, it is hard to say what the problem is. Are you accessing the internet over wireless? Is it internet connection sharing? Are you on dialup?

There's many possibilities for this;

The server could be down, or being bombarded with requests.

Your computer may be using too much bandwidth, and the website doesn't load in the time that's set up in the registry (Time To Live), if it doesn't load in that certain amount of time it will assume the website is down.

The website may be blocked in your HOSTS file, or Privacy/Content restrictions settings, or other methods of preventing websites to be loaded -- but this probably isn't it if it does eventually load properly.

I would guess that your bandwidth is being tied up and it isn't loading the webpage in time.

If a definite internet website is working sluggish, Explorer many times comes to a decision to itself that the time is as much as load and you get the website can't be displayed. this happens many times at busy circumstances and in maximum circumstances in case you click on "View" on the toolbar and then click "Refresh" that's going to load the website.

Your computer is trying to process too many things at the same
time and it loses it place. That is why it is a good idea to have
two search engines, when one seems to be on the blink go
to the other. Just keep two internet search icons on your
opening set-up where the Recycle-bin, your mail-box & anti-virus
are located at initial start-up.
